StuffNow Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

StuffNow keeps your household inventory locally on your Mac. The app does not send inventory or preferences to the developer, require a developer-operated account, or contain advertising, third-party analytics or tracking.

Inventory and preferences

Inventory records, notes, saved values, report presets and preferences are stored in the app’s local storage. StuffNow does not operate a cloud-sync or online inventory service. It does not store receipt, photo or document attachments in inventory records; Notes may contain information you enter about where those files are kept.

Exports and backups

CSV exports, PDF reports and manual .stuffnowbackup files are created at your request and saved to destinations you choose. StuffNow also keeps up to seven recent automatic daily backups locally after inventory changes. Restore replaces the current inventory only after confirmation.

Files contain inventory information you choose to include. If you save them to a cloud-synchronised folder, external drive or shared destination, that destination’s settings and services determine how copies are stored or shared. StuffNow does not send these files to the developer.

Purchases and Apple services

App downloads and payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. StuffNow has no in-app purchase or subscription implementation and the developer does not receive payment-card details. Apple may provide sales reporting and, where you choose to share diagnostics with developers, crash or usage information under Apple’s own settings and privacy practices. StuffNow does not add its own analytics or crash-reporting service.

Website and support

GitHub Pages hosts these public pages and handles website requests under its own privacy practices. StuffNow does not add advertising or analytics to these pages.

If you email support, the developer receives the message and contact information you choose to send. Do not include passwords or private inventory files unless you intentionally choose to share that content.

Changes and contact
